Ariana Grande is closing one chapter of her career at a major high point. After dominating Spotify’s summer streaming season, the pop star has officially wrapped her 41-show Eternal Sunshine Tour and is preparing to step back from the spotlight.

Spotify named Grande’s “hate that i made you love me” the platform’s most-streamed song of summer 2026. The song spent 22 days at No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Chart and remained in the Global Top 10 for 89 days, helping Grande reach 100 million monthly listeners in August. 

The achievement comes as Grande closes out her first major tour in years. The Eternal Sunshine Tour concluded September 1 in London following 41 performances across North America and the United Kingdom. More than 630,000 fans attended the tour, which ended with an emotional final performance at London’s O2 Arena. 

And the numbers were just as big as the crowds. According to recently reported Billboard Boxscore figures, the tour grossed approximately $107.9 million and sold roughly 638,000 tickets across its 41 shows. 

For Grande, the end of the tour also marks the beginning of a much-needed change of pace. She previously announced plans to step back from public visibility and take time for herself after years of nonstop music, film projects, promotion, and intense public scrutiny.

That doesn’t mean Ariana is disappearing completely.

Her next major project is the upcoming comedy Focker-in-Law, the fourth installment in the Meet the Parents franchise, scheduled for release November 25. Grande is expected to participate in promotion for the film before taking a broader break from public appearances. 

Fans will likely continue seeing her through her business ventures and brand campaigns as well. And after spending months traveling and performing for more than half a million people, she has certainly earned some downtime.

Grande also recently sparked conversation during her final tour performance by changing lyrics to “thank u, next” in a way that appeared to reference her rekindled relationship with Ricky Álvarez, leading fans to speculate about the couple’s future. 

So while Ariana Grande may be stepping away from the stage for now, she’s ending this era exactly where a pop star wants to be: with one of the biggest songs of the summer, a massively successful tour behind her, and plenty waiting on the horizon.

Now let’s just hope she gets some rest, eats plenty of Latin food with Ricky, and enjoys life before Hollywood and pop music come calling again.
