Oh, Candace Owens, honey… the far right has entered the chat.

Candace is once again fighting off a storm of rumors, and this time the rumor mill is serving up allegations about her sexuality and alleged dating profiles. Owens has flat-out denied the claims, calling them “the most deranged.” And before anybody starts clutching their pearls: those alleged profiles have not been independently authenticated.

But girl, this isn’t even the first bizarre rumor to hit the Candace Owens news cycle.

Remember the “Candace Owens is dead” hoax? A viral post claimed she had died. Candace herself had to jump online and essentially say: I’M ALIVE! The account behind the post later claimed it had been hacked.

And then there’s the never-ending political drama surrounding Owens, Charlie Kirk, Erika Kirk and the conspiracy theories that have kept the right-wing internet in a perpetual state of “wait… WHAT did she just say?” Some of those claims have faced serious scrutiny because evidence supporting them has been lacking.

Now, the latest episode?

A far-right online activist is pushing allegations about Candace’s sexuality.

Girl, the call is coming from inside the house!

Because here’s the deliciously uncomfortable part: Owens has spent years participating in a political ecosystem where people’s identities, relationships and private lives can become ammunition.

Now that same ecosystem has turned its microscope on her.

And THAT is the story.

Not whether Candace Owens is secretly something she says she isn’t. Unless actual evidence emerges, that’s speculation—and speculation isn’t journalism.

The story is what happens when an online political movement becomes so addicted to outrage that nobody is safe from the rumor machine—not even the people who helped build it.

One day you’re driving the culture war.

The next day…

YOU’RE THE STORY.

And baby, that’s when the internet gets messy.
